Modern Society

We've all heard about some of the happenigs during Victorian times - child prostitution, the treatment of children and wives as mere chattels, exploitation of workwers etc. We've been through two world wars and several (relatively) minor conflicts with tragic deaths, mutilations, deprivation and sufferings.

By and large we came through all that rather well. Mostly without the support of therapists, psychiatrists and psychologists.

And yet now, with a host of these various 'ists' and do-gooders, we appear to have a more confused society than ever before.

I wonder why.
