I thought that the daughters were virgins, meaning under 12 when most girls were marrying then. Mary was 12 when married to Joseph (probably 50-55 yo).
Well, they could conceive (as they did from Lot) so that means they were post-pubescent, regardless of precise age.
I'm LOOKING for 'lessons' on pedophillia in the bible.
But you're still forcing it. There is nothing in the passage to suggest pedophilia was even in the thoughts of the writer. What if the Sodomites had accepted the daughters? Well, the Sodomites would still have been judged by that. Only in that case it would have been the defilement of betrothed virgins, not betraying guests.
The angels and God visit Sodom to evaluate the degree of iniquity it has, but it's clear from the previous exchange that they want enough righteous people to spare the city, and what happens at Lot's house makes clear that there is no such enough righteous people. Would that have changed had they taken Lot's offer? It's doubtful at best.
