First, let me say that sounded disrespectful and I didn't mean it to be.
Of course they were disguised as men and of course that's what makes the passage directly homosexual. So? I don't know how that is relevant to what you are asking about - Cuteness
The guests were the angels, not Lot and his family. So it was the angels who were the guests that must be awarded respect - Cuteness
But nobody knew that except God & Abraham. Lot knew them as men.
It's the offering of the daughters and their rejection and the obvious friendly (at least!!) relationship between the daughters and Lot and the sparing of their lives by God that interests me - luv2
I see hints that that would have been more acceptable [raping the girls] than raping the angels, I mean men. Could it be that Lot knew that and had to make the most horrible decision of his life (an unthinkable decision) to offer his beloved daughters. And God knew all along that he was going to trash the cities? - luv2
So, the relevance in my mind was that God knew this was forcing Lot into that unthinkable decision of guest or daughters so what kind of God is that? I just don't see the point of the story. My struggles are finding the good God of the bible. Concerned Aunt has found him and I wanted to see if I could get there.
