The Critical Mass strategy at work?
Of course, I can't really do Critical Mass. I am gone too much to the other end.
But yes, even if an accusation is not believed or proven false, if more accusations accumulate each one starts to sound more believable. I think that is very much at play in cases of "serial" pedophiles like Sandusky and Savile, but is really possible with everyone. We only know of Sandusky and Savile because they were famous before they were accused. Who knows how many more remain less well known because they weren't previously famous?
