To kiss my little girl...

could have quite serious consequences. Some areas of the country have statutes against the kissing of a minor for well, the reasons we would kiss little girls. Sadly, one place such a kiss might happen between my little girl and I has such a statute. Naturally, if she's initiating it, or I could prove the innocence of the kiss, it wouldn't really be a problem, but to reciprocate would be problematic. Of course, a simple kiss is usually not seen as very serious, so even if such a thing happened, I doubt any parties aware of it would bring up the legal issues, though I'm sure it'd be detrimental to our continuing relationship if a kiss shared between us became known. Still, I am always very wary of the legal boundaries. I hope I'll never have to worry about those boundaries, but I am very aware of them. And I pray that if she does decide to kiss me, it won't happen in such a jurisdiction that I could face such serious consequences.
