It's a bit more complicated than you think; it helps to have a copy of the BHS ⚠️ ↗ at hand and to consult the HAL ⚠️ ↗.
The Hebrew word in question, נער, can mean both "(prepubescent) boy" (as in Genesis 22.12, for example) and "young man" (as here).
Btw, the "men of Sodom" part is a gloss that has crept into the text some time before the earliest textual witnesses (the Septuagint), and should be ignored by good translators.
