Summary Follow Up : Lust for Power

Before it slides out of the main page, a few days ago tpka Funny Cat asked why AOC laws were invented. I answered an NT post. Now that we have many opinions, several of them with evidence linked, allow me to summarize why I answered "lust for power (nt)"

Paradis: "child prostitution" Translation: Lust for power over the labor choice of others.

Madscience: "adults looking out" Translation: Lust for power over the choices of others.

Dissident: "a moral panic..." Translation: Lust for power by a guy (Stead) who should have been tortured to death on the spot "...combined with union activism against young labor" Translation: Lust for power by the unions.

girls are kittens: "assumption of immaturity" Translation: Lust for power over those who choose something other than what you want for them.

Jason: "syphilitic boy miners" Translation: Lust for power by the mining industrial complex.

perfectrealitylover: "control of the masses" - That doesn't even need a translation.

So, while everyone has emphasized different angles of the same processes involved, the point stands that all of these angles talk about Lust for Power being behind the Prohibition on Child Sex. Because of all of these reasons, and even more that weren't mentioned, Child Sex is one of the most anarchistic acts possible in the social fabric. Way too dangerous for all sorts of people who are greedy for power.

And THAT is the main reason, imho, why children's struggle relevantly differs from that of other past minority groups, such as Women, Jews, Blacks or Gays.
