All good points. I suspect that a war on guns would be about as successful as the war on drugs has been so far. Murder capitals of the US like Chicago and Washington, D.C. have had gun bans. In both cities, gun crime actually went UP after they introduced the ban. And when Washington, D.C. ended their gun ban, gun crime actually went down (due to shifting demographics). Gun crime has A LOT more to do with demographics than gun law.
