Yes, you are correct about those incidents. Yes they were tragic. But as the new millennium started, we had 9/11 (I know people are tired of that date) 3,000+ senseless deaths. 2 wars Iraq and Afghanistan were totally unnecessary. Those terrorist attacks could have been solved with a small team of federal investigators.. NOT a bloody war!

The war has total 6,000 dead times 22 wounded. I don't have the exact number. Plus even more civilians, I really don't care what country they come from, but their deaths are bad. Not to mention countless deaths from drone strikes.

The crashing economy felt around the world through bad legislation.

A president that is more hated than any president in history. I support him but he has pissed me off too, however I would vote a third term of him if I could.

Virginia Tech

Aurora Colorado

Phoenix Arizona

New town Connecticut

The gulf of mexico spill with over 224 million barrels of oil NOT gallons for over 16 weeks.

Crime and violence increasing even around my neighborhood, and many other places.

I know the 70's had those tragedies, but I didn't want to mention all the negative stuff. Today has it's good moments, but it's just another chapter that also has it's fucked up moments. I agree with you Neutrino, but I just didn't like mixing all the fucked up shit from the 70's. The good part of it all that was we got through it and ended the Vietnam war, and if Jimmy Jones was still alive, he would have been hung by his balls for all the children he killed, and survived so we can give him a slow agonizing death. Unemployment and many bad things today are fixable, but we have moronic and weak leaders that suggest otherwise. Many of my friends are unemployed for over 3 years, and I don't know how they keep their sanity.

My view of the 70's was more entertainment themed. Not that there is anything wrong with most of today's video games, movies, and theme parks. We are growing still, and hopefully more unified.

Cheers!!
