Actually, they don't. For the most part, traditionalist Indians look at Western TV and internet and instead of thinking that Western women are empowered (TM) they think that they, their families, and Western men, don't value them except as sluts. This also happens with Muslims and East Asians but in each case it takes different forms, of course. Indians may well be the most patriarchal of the three, but they are also, for example, the ones most tolerant of skimpy clothing because their traditional own is.

Ironically, the men more likely to react like Lyrics describes, are the ones which would have most brown sahib influence without feeling that they can belong to their society.

But all of that is redundant. Rapes happen because laws are not applied equally. And will I mention civilian gun carrying is illegal in India?
