I agree that GC is not a therapy group - and though I hope we can point those who need therapy towards those who can safely provide it, I don't really think GC should be primarily a place for therapy. Being a girl lover is not a disease.

I also agree that being a GL ... ie, pedophilia ... is NOT a disease, but a biochemical/neurological sexual preference where the influence or conditioning isn't clearly understood.

However, GC members shouldn't automatically assume someone posting here is the enemy or has evil intent (sorry ... play on words) unless their contributions and opinions provide irrefutable evidence to support those claims.

Just because nobody knows a newbie, like me, it doesn't necessarily follow that person is a hater, an Anti, a Non, or a Vigilante; they're just a new and most likely unskilled member. Given enough time and after enough posts to "prove their worth" they might be considered a vetted member ... but I won't hold my breath in my case. I genuinely understand a healthy level of suspicion and paranoia.

On the topic of GC being a support or therapy group ... it could be, although not formally, nor illustrated as such. A number of members have stated their appreciation for the support they've received, so there are a few people who are willing to stoop down to help a lesser individual in a time of distress. Perhaps a slight change in post wording and tone could accomplish a lot more than pitiful comedy and hateful rhetoric.

Though I hope we can provide resources and comfort for those who have been wounded in the cultural and memetic warfare of our age, I believe it is just as important that we arm ourselves with the ideas with which to conquer those societal pathogens that are seeking to destroy us - and with us, humanity.

Knowledge and research are the keys to a successful future, and the sharing of resources is the best method to help those with troubling thoughts to make their way past their dilemma.

The best defense against haters is to arm ourselves with the same tools they use, and assume more sophisticated tactics to beat them at their own game. It will take time, but progress is being made ... albeit very very slowly.

I have enjoyed those contributions of yours which I have seen, and hope to see more.
