puberty doesn't begin at menstruation

Visible bewbs and widening of hips happen before the first menstruation, as must be, given that they are what makes a pregnancy and childbirth viable. Hips by creating the internal space, bewbs by creating the nutrition after birth.

We haven't tried, but I am pretty sure that My Twin can safely carry and give birth to a child now. The Teen, who as her sister shares most of her factors, genetic and environmental, certainly can bear a child by now if she wanted to and she is "only" 14.

Not that childbirth and family life oppose women's public sphere participation. But Sarah Palin isn't a woman feminists admire.
