Off board contact is a bad idea. This makes everyone suspect of anyone who asks for off board contact.

Add to it that most of the posters do not have the attention span required for your science posts, something Dissident has already noted recently, and that is why you easily end up in the receiving end of trolling accusations.

Of course, take them also from whom they come. And the poster who got away with breaking Rule 3 isn't, imho, someone whose opinions I would be too bothered about.
