Striking a pose for the lulz

"if we had someone who would camp out there and make solid contacts"

Or you could've just chillaxed by the Manga section of any bookstore where scores of moe-afflicted teens hung out. ( Back when there were bookstores. ) :(

Of course, the danger of networking with ANYONE who seems remotely interested in young girls "that way," is that they aren't necessarily Pedo-friendly.

Anime geeks are no more open-minded than others. Sure they absorb the culture and are amused. But many of them feel that fictional lolis and RL girls are two different things altogether. They might want to strike a pose as an "outsider," but they can be just as kneejerk Anti as the next guy outside of the persona they use to be "daring."

Case in point, the very sites he mentioned which promoted the Pedobear meme were into shocking the masses, but were create by a 15yr old bhoy who has no problems being an Anti or using his "army" to d0x Peds en masse. The very nature of the site's anoymous posting makes it impossible to tell who you are networking with: who are lulzing WITH you and who are lulzing AGAINST you.

When society declares those who lust after LGs to be antichrist, then sounding like a Ped will appeal to those who want to be antichrist. It doesn't mean they're sincere.

But yeah, unify with us. And when you can figure out how to tell "us" from "them" on da intarwebz, or in RL, tell me.

On the plus side. While not endorsing desensitization theories muchly; blurring the moral boundaries and exposing the masses does a better job in the long-run for those who might not've thought their Anti positions through, or who might be allies and just hadn't realized it yet.

To return to the previous analogy, not everyone claiming to lust after kindergarteners is sincere. But someone stumbling across such a thread might see a reflection of a sincere desire in something another posted to shock.

And who knows? The desensitized may self-select to be seen as one of us.
