This predates any arguments about KP. The modern hysteria truly got underway when anti-sex Feminism got into bed with the Xtian-Right over the Pornography issue ( a specific subset of "objectification." )

This led to several bad things.

Among them the denial of catharsis ( and any stats establishing that pronz viewing [ even KP ] correlate with LOWER actual assaults. )

Further, by claiming that sex-work objectifies and silences women; it lead to the silencing of female sex-workers. I believe that this shift away from biographic Feminism and towards academic Feminism did much to derail the cultural contributions of Feminists outside of political polemic.

Fortunately, there are still many Feminists who haven't got THAT memo yet; for whom telling their story, even the un-PC bits, creates power. Quite a few of them tell the truth about childhood sexuality in ways that allow menfolk to see that they aren't as asexual as "victim-culture" would have it.
