Seems to me that the issue is that the guy sent it to said 11 year old girl via Facebook more than merely having such images in his possession. I'm not sure exactly what he was charged with/convicted of. And I don't think this should be considered child porn or that possession of child porn should be illegal. But sending it unsolicited to minors is another issue entirely. Even in a perfect world, you might want to deal with this guy legally in some way, although probably not with a 10 year prison sentence. But I have to say, this sounds like Darwinism in action to me (few would be crazy enough to go through with something like this).
