"Maybe if lesbians are masculinized to some extent they would also get some dose of the male inferiority in figuring out feelings at all?"

Good Ghod.

I can see that you have no close Lesbian friends. But if you want to make a few to learn something about them I suggest you keep your notions that Lesbians are "masculinized" females to yourself.

Here I thought it had been decades since it was last acceptable to ask gay males, "So, which one of you wears the dress."

But apparently I was mistaken.

* Tries to think *

I don't believe I have ever held a job without at least one Lesbian boss or manager. And I tend to be the go-to-guy for some of my peers to confide their girl-problems to. Most every social circle I move in has a few gays or lesbians. And yet I have to meet any same-sex relationships where anyone was engaging in the traits of the opposite sex when examined on a non-stereotypal level.

Of course this assumption is dirt-common. It stems from expectations in gender-roles. But if you really want to know why someone carries themselves in a particular way to appear attractive, you don't look at them, you look at the partner they're trying to please.

Men are more visually orientated in their arousal and attraction patterns. Those trying to seduce men pay more attention to appearance and grooming. This is true of female heterosexual partners and of male homosexual partners.

BUT....... the behaviour is not feminine in male homosexuals. They don't wear the dress, put on mascara or cultivate long hair. Homosexual males don't want women, they want men. So instead their grooming tends to focus more on fitness, maintaining their short hair, sometimes even on the well-maintained beard. ( Bears? [ Anyone but Trucker. ] )

Since women don't prioritize the visual, they are free to cease wearing awkward crippling clothing and engaging in elaborate painful grooming rituals. As comfortable clothing has become the province of males, this leads to shopping from the men's section ( or, in heterosexual females, stealing the pyjama top. )

Do not expect the emotional life of the diesel dyke to be masculine either; even if her emotionality isn't channelled into ritualized expressions conforming to what attract males. "Boys don't cry. Girls aren't bossy," has to be instilled specifically because gender-based emotional displays are unnatural and must be taught.
