First of all, thank you for your understanding. It's better to discuss these things rationally than to flame each other, so once again I appreciate that. I found a source that's a bit more detailed than the one in the OP, although it still doesn't quite tell the whole story.

The paper obtained the 911 call and reported that the dad told the dispatcher, "I just walked in a grown man molesting...and I got him in a bloody puddle for you, officer."

I can't say for sure that the father is unfamiliar with Frolander (the perpetrator), but the language he uses ("a grown man" instead of naming the suspect) suggests unfamiliarity.

The boy told police that Frolander took him to a back room of the house and pulled down his pants, the report said.

The boy, 11, had been playing video games with friends before the alleged attack, the report said.

Frolander was treated at an area hospital and allegedly told police "I'm guilty," when questioned.

Again, the wording of the report suggests unfamiliarity with the suspect, which suggests a lack of consent and a modicum of force and coercion involved. While most of us here theoretically approve of consensual sexual relationships between adults and youth (myself very much included), we also don't support rape or coercion and we also understand the folly of illegally acting out in today's day and age. At best, this man did the latter, and at worst, he raped or attempted to rape a child. Under the worst circumstances, I would find it hard to shed any tears for this man. I understand others may disagree, however. I will respect their opinion and debate them respectfully or agree to disagree.
