I don't think anyone here really preaches abstinence. It's rather universally shared amongst the members of this board that we abstain from adult-child sex and most do not see the act as a very good idea, but that does not mean that the necessity to abstain is a universally shared viewpoint. We certainly do not encourage adult-child sex, and we do discourage it for various reasons, but we don't get preachy about it.

Frankly, I don't care much if someone from this board chooses to have sex with their lgf. It might not be universal, but many people at GC do believe that children are capable of consent. If this is true, then the consent to sex is also consent to secrecy and consent to risk. I refuse to condemn someone for taking the risk to his self and his lover. It is their decision. It may not be the wisest decision in our society, but it is still their decision to make. No one has sex with a minor without knowing the risk and I assume that most would, at some level, inform their partner of the risk as well, particularly those who are present on GC, whether they be posters or lurkers.

Ethan, I honestly cannot help but to feel that your "obligation" is not to the "anonymous girl" out there, but to yourself. It feels like your goal isn't to "help" the girls, but to make yourself and your kind look better in the eyes of the public. I say what I have said before: we will always be monsters to the public as long as the view of children does not change. We might be loathed at worst and pitied at best, but as long as children are seen as utterly helpless objects, we will be seen as monsters for our desires. Your "virtuous pedophiles" might be seen as "the good pedos," but you will still be shackled like the rest of us. I prefer to despise my chains, even though I likely shall never break them.
