Thank you for your kind words, girls_are_kittens. Unfortunately, as evidenced by my past attempts at a short story, I cannot force it. It must arrive on its own. And, I usually limit my exposure to such enticements for the reason we all know. By the way, I re-read my post and discovered a grammatical error. I sure hope there aren't any more. 8-O
Should I spend more of my time in paradise, I am certain to develop ten novels worth of experiences to write about... up to the point where society may stick its rot infested nose where it does not belong. Many of Nabokov's characters have a distinct "sensory appetite" reminiscent of his synesthesia. I don't have such distortions in perception, but the intensity of my own emotions, the need to share them, parallel the intensity of his synesthesia as well as his attempt to share such passions. Thank you, Hieronymus, for putting me on the same stage as V. Nabokov. I don't rate it but I thank you for your flattery. |
