Actually yes Dante could have said exactly the same thing and I'd have read it differently.

One thing I find interesting about shrinks. So many of them seem to support mandatory reporting laws and yet seem to feel that their office makes for a safe feeling environment. Now I know the difficulties in absolutes. But if shrinks do not clarify what they feel mandated to report and police do not clarify what they are mandated to investigate then I am fee to assume that the simple recognition of a person's sexual interest in children is enough to assume all children that have had even the smallest contact with said person are in terrible danger.

In short it would go like this. The patient says Hello shrink I get a hard on for kids. Then the shrink asks are there any kids you ever see. The patient says yes and these are the kids. The shrink reports. The cops go out and ask all the kids have you fucked so and so. Patients life is ruined. Possibly many children's lives turned into hell.

And yet mandatory reporting laws are so great.
