To be honest I could see this happening to an extent in certain countries, it's more the idea that it would happen almost simultaneously on global scale and be so effective as to erase us all from the gene-pool within a generation that sound like fiction.

I mean not even the Nazis actually succeeded in eradicating the Jews.
