He's saying that the Nazis Antis will see questioning the AoC as a provocation.

Now the Anti argument is based on the belief that their children can't consent, wouldn't consent if they could, and would be harmed even if they did. Essentially sex under the AoC is effectively rape. Therefore folks arguing for changes in the AoC or elimination of statutory rape laws are lust-crazed monsters who want an excuse to jump every child they see.

As I see it this runs up against the Anti's notions that all Pedos are ticking time bombs who will eventually act out and rape a child. To them there are two categories of this "Monster" those who have already committed the crime, and those who will do so later.

So I think that his argument that the bomb which is still ticking hasn't gone off yet because it MIGHT not go off won't be well received.

Basically he seems to assume that the Nons are 100% with the Antis on the AoC thing, but that they are just waiting to listen to reason on any other issue.

Me, I don't think we get to pick and choose for them. I think that everything we do has already been deemed monstrous by the Antis. ( Heck, self-identifying as a Pedophile demonstrates a lack of remorse for our thoughcrimes. ) There's no winning if you try to make yourself palatable to them. But Ethan seems to act as if he knows what they are ready to budge on and what they aren't.
