I send my stuff off for maintenance. This is exactly why. Way too easy to frame someone for this kind of stuff, so easy that I do not understand how this 'evidence' gets admitted into the courts most times.

It is astoundingly easy to compromise a computer and download stuff to it that the actual owner has no idea you are putting on the computer. So easy that it is past time to say "Computer evidence is not reliable anyone and it is inadmissible in court!"
