The T-shirt emblazoned with the words "Dress Code Violation" is a bit overdone, but this isn't all that big a deal, especially considering that other options were available. It's been going on forever, except usually the replacement shirt/trousers/skirt/etc. is simply something that went out of fashion 20 years prior. It's an incentive for students to remember to dress in accordance with the dress code.

In fact, given student opposition to dress codes, many students would consider wearing a shirt like this to be a badge of honor.
