Dan Schneider has weaved a very strange interlocking series of Nick shows that operate as parallel realities in a way the Disneyverse doesn't.

For the most part when characters in the Disneyverse cross-over they share a certain reality, and any inconsistencies caused by the same actor being two characters aren't mentioned.

Selena Gomez may have played Hanna Montana's rival Mikayla. But when Alex Russo ( also Gomez ) meets Hannah on the SS. Tipton; there's no mention of this OTHER singer who looks like her.

The Disneyverse only supports one version at a time.

The quantum wave function over at Nick in the Schneiderverse is a whole nother thing.

So....................

The Amanda Show was a sketch comedy show with a regular supporting cast including actors Drake Bell and Josh Peck.

Drake and Josh is a series with Miranda Cosgrove as kid sister Megan. In it Josh works at a movie theatre along with Crazy Steve played by Jerry Trainor and their boss Helen.

In iCarly you have Carly played by Miranda Cosgrove whose brother Spencer is played by Jerry Trainor. Other regulars include Sam played by Jeanette McCurdy and nemesis Neville.

By the time we get to vicTORIous the fabric of reality is beginning to burst at the seams revealing multiple parallel realities. Ferinstance, in the iParty with vicTORIous episode Carly is at a party with Drake Bell playing himself this time. And Helen from the theater shows up as a new principle at Performing Arts HS.

And when we get to Sam and Cat these alternate realities are now in open contradiction. Sam has to deal with the appearance of one of Carly's crazy "fans." So she seeks help from a true psychopath, Neville. The insane asylum is set up to look just like the cells in Silence of the Lambs with Neville as "Dr. Lector." But in an adjoining cell is Crazy Steve. In short, Sam has met both Spencer and Crazy Steve even though they are the same actor.

There are entire online threads dedicated to trying to resolve these conundrums. But I say, trip out on it while you can. :)
