More than half of the problem is the total surveillance society. Nothing of that would have been known and much less public, had exactly the same incident happened when/where there were no cameras rolling. We have become used to cameras rolling at our own peril. Because, of course, cameras also shoot the powerful, but are never used against them. But hey, if it stops one terrorist! (Hint: it has stopped the grand total of none) |
