It was only 9°C (48°F) this morning out on the water. I don't think lemonade was the most popular drink. Later this afternoon though, the sun was out and I was ... again... back at the same shoreline looking for the same thing. Of course, They were there taking photos of me again. I was spying with the binoculars and getting really really close to shore when I felt a bit of odd motion... I looked at the water and could see the bottom! CRAP! I quickly pulled the tiller about only to feel the boat thump again and come to a stop. I could hear everyone on the shore get quiet. The wind caught the sails just right and the boat heeled firmly and, every so slowly, we eased off the bottom and back out to sea, my face red with embarrassment.
Little girls are going to kill me, eh? If I hadn't been so damned obsessed with looking at the beach, I would never have run aground like that. If anyone here ever goes to sea with me to search for pretty little girls on the shore, you know what danger we will be in. http://www.torontosnaps.com/p3/m/Tommy-Thompson-Park/Ontario-lake-7300.jpg (Not my photography) • ( http link ) Tommy Thompson park [Anonymouse] |
