The author analyzed the contents of every terror prosecution in the US to date; and found more than 500 entrapment schemes where there was no threat until the FBI started running a con on some guy who was incapable of harming anyone. Out of over 500 cases all but 3 had no credible threat but for the FBI agent goading someone and then giving them plans they never had, funds they couldn't raise, arms they could have never found........

Of the latter 3 only one might have actually accomplished anything if they hadn't been caught.

And of course its because they heeded the call to track terrorists that EVERYONE must be monitored 24/7 and all your emails and phone calls are on file. Why wouldn't they abuse the authority to monitor everything to search for terrorists?

Nobody should be trusted with that much power. And the very sort who are attracted to it are attracted because of its potential for abuse. Those who only want and need a lesser weapon ask for a lesser weapon.
