Your link to your proof that a tree is no longer known by its fruit, is a link to a tree known only for its fruit - all 40 types that were grafted onto it.

Incidentally, the authors of the Bible knew about grafting and wrote about it. This is not a new agricultural technique. In Romans chapter 11 Paul describes Israel as the cultivated olive tree into which wild olive branches (Christians) are grafted.

You might also enjoy the parable of the wheat and the tares. You see, wheat and tares are really the same plant - the farmer does not separate the wheat from the tares until it is time for the harvest because the only difference is that wheat bears good fruit. It is only after the farmer can see which plants have borne good fruit that he knows which plants to save, and which plants to burn so that their seed cannot be passed on.

Naturally I don't expect you to use the Bible as the basis of wisdom, but that does not mean that we should reject out of hand such wisdom as may be contained within it. You might be surprised how relevant it can be.
