The thing with the printer isn't all that unusual. Most Windows systems (and possibly Apple machines) will keep a document pending if it sends to the printer but there's an error -- paper jam, out of ink, out of paper, etc. -- and try again as soon as it thinks the printer is working again. The system might not realize that the printer is operational again until another document is printed, so... yeah.

Seems to also be what happened in the story with that lesbian PE teacher and student at an all-girls' school that was linked here recently (I can't search, or I'd dig up the previous post, but I'll stick the link to the article here at least.)

But as for that pastor -- I have to wonder, as others have, how graphic you can be in one page, and as others have said, typing that up and printing it was a dumb move. It's not the kind of dumb move that his life should be ruined over (as it has been) but... pen or pencil to paper and stashed away someplace seems a more sensible option than getting that anywhere near a computer, especially with names of local people involved ("names have been changed to protect the author...")
