That's very encouraging, I'm really happy for you.

I've found that good people who know you often accept it or can deal it although how they deal with it varies a lot.

I mean if someone know's you're a nice, kind, positive person and haven't been attacking people and have been someone they like then why would being attracted to children make you any different? You managed to go your whole life up to that point without jumping kids in much the same way that non-pedophiles have managed to go their whole life walking down the street without jumping adults.

If a friend of family member said to me they were gay or a pedophile or attracted to trees or whatever I wouldn't turn against them, I'd probably just see them as more colourful and surprising people.

But some people are not good, are paranoid, believe all the horror stories they read in the press, the same press constantly making payouts to people taking them to court for some lie or another. So be careful who you open up to and how to explain yourself but it can be very helpful to share with someone.
