Sorry to be negative, but this does not seem like a unique case at all. It is very common, perhaps even the norm, for people to accept a friend when they come out as a pedo ... at first. But later they abandon or even turn against their former friend because of it.

Let's see if she considers you a friend in 6 months. Yours would indeed be a unique case if she feels you "connect because you both love children" 6 months from now.
