But it seems to me that if someone tells stories where it sounds like girls are at risk of really getting hurt ... there's room to come in and gently say so. A duty even.
So "getting hurt" includes bath time with Gramps now? Saving g9 from bath time is your duty? Get over yourself. Hey, guess what. I walked in on a little girl's bath once - to give her a rubber duck. When I went to leave, she called me back in and asked me to wash her hair. So I stayed and chatted with her for a little while - no big deal, door open a bit, Mum watching TV in the living room, whatever. Oh, I'd be lying if I said my eyes didn't wander, by the way, or if I didn't let them, when she wasn't looking. :) Then her toes got wrinkly so I pulled the drain for her, hung a towel for her, and left. Gonna call the cops on me now, Ethan? Ya, if people here notice something, they "come in and gently say so". Like when my depression was impacting my girl, GC told me like it was, no bullshit, this is my fault and I have to fix it. And I will forever appreciative. Because of this community I was able to snap out of it not become a negative impact on her life, and even salvage my relationship with her - to this day she considers me her best friend. Your "reality check", Ethan, was an extreme overreaction, totally unnecessary, insensitive, way out of line. You, you took something beautiful and innocent and twisted it and made it cold and ugly and sad. - RBL |
