To a large degree I have not, but I have spent the last 5 years being too close to parents and to parenting that I can say I know something now. Bathing in particular is both cultural, as in comfort with nudity among the family; and personal, as in development of personal spaces. No age is right for every child. Not even for every gender combination between parents and children. Not even for every child in the same family. Strange for someone claiming to disregard the universal in favor of the practical, to disregard the practical for an unstated universal so easily when it contradicts his supported POV. |
