...another well-thought-out piece of writing.
I remember a better day. It is indeed sad to see what decades of lies has done to our world. It brings to my mind the scene in My Father the Hero, 1994, starring GĂ©rard Depardieu, where a teenage girl tries to impress her boyfriend by saying that her father is actually her lover. In the particular scene of which I am thinking, Gerard's character sits at a piano and begins innocently singing "Thank Heaven For Little Girls", at which the audience walks out thinking the wrong things about this song. I suspect that today, even without a girl's silly lie, most people would see depravity in this sweet song. |
