I'm going to be in this situation soon before too long.

I'm in love with a 13 year old and soon enough she will be 16 and legal to date. But, of course I don't see too many 16 year olds dating people any older than college age. Do I ask her out at 16 or what till 18? I'm interested in the responses as it kind of helps me too.

That being said I've seen 30-40 year olds dating 16 year olds around here. Usually it gets talked about because it's kind of unusual but nothing bad seems to ever happen to them there's just the usual whispers behind their back.

I think you should go for it, but I don't know if it's something that never happens where you are or is just uncommon.
