But obviously GC has decided to allow and encourage debate of these issues. When Dissident makes a top-level post "Concise refutations of common anti arguments", he's clearly inviting a debate. GC is an all-purpose forum for discussions revolving around the general topic of Girl Love. Hence, debates are welcome. That post I made which you refer to was not explicitly intended to invite debate, but to present my refutations of common anti-choice arguments to anyone who may be interested in seeing them. If you chose to debate me as a result, that is within your rights on this board. For better or worse, the whole world is watching. Personally, I think it's for the better in the long run, because it's important that there are some places, in some locations, where all aspects of the issue can be discussed and presented--and yes, debated--for anyone who may be interested in reading and considering all sides and all aspects. Fora like GC provide that. Not only that, but GC is important in another way that should be mentioned: For too long, adult attraction to girls has been marginalized very much on the sidelines, with discussions of adult (but mostly adult man) attraction to boys taking up precedence in every place where these issues are discussed or archived. Currently, GC and VoA are the only two major MAP forums that allow for GL in particular to be discussed. I think GC has taken the shape you would expect given the rules it has chosen to operate under. And I think places like GC are important for the reasons I described above, even though I agree that it's not a locale for open engagement with the public. GC, of course, doesn't seek to do that, but simply provides a specific location for all sides of every issue, and all aspects of GL, to be discussed in a manner that is fully legal, ethical, and safe for MAPs and any Non-MAPs who may choose to participate. With that made clear, GC's rules are quite stringent and very much in harmony with the law, and it's survived now for approaching 15 years because of that. |
