Roberto Gómez Bolaños, better known as Chespirito proved that its never too late to pretend to be an LB. In a triumph of Dawson self-Casting he played an 8 year old ( El Chavo [ The Kid ] ) for over twenty years starting when he was 42.

Gómez Bolaños is also famous as the creator of the comic superhero Chapulin Colorado ( referenced by Simpson's creator Matt Groening in his "Bumblebee-Man" character. )

According to the Wikipedia page Cuba remains the only Spanish speaking country in the Americas in which El Chavo del Ocho hasn't been broadcast.

The Kid remains one of the most iconic comic exports from Mexico. He has even been spun-off into an animated series.
