"None of that is at all convincing. A few anecdotes found from scouring the web, recollections on a forum where people would really like to believe the conclusion..."

Argumentum ad populum? Unfortunately science doesn't work that way.

Just because those who aren't hostile to the evidence are the only ones citing the evidence doesn't mean that it originates with them.

Its really the meta-studies and the collations from sources like Rivas' that are most damning. When data collected by Nons is evaluated properly, the findings support these other conclusions. When folks who have no Pedo tendencies themselves speak about their own childhood experiences, the testimony comes through loud and clear.

Folks with biases try to shout down the evidence and suppress perfectly good science. But its still there.

You OTOH, have proven yourself to be quite science-illiterate in various online debates. Your opinion hasn't budged one bit even in response to numerous proofs that your claims about history and methodology are just plain wrong. Its not the evidence that fails to persuade you. Its you who refuse to accommodate anything contrary to your prejudice.

"My view is held by just about all the professionals in the field."

The views in the field are self evident enough from Kinsey onward. What popular prejudice does to deny them is a whole nother thing. Fortunately some still cite the real research you pooh-pooh.

"I'm not talking about "he really wants to and I don't mind". I'm talking about a genuine interest in the sex itself."

Please be kind enough to prove that "genuine interest" in sex is possible for females.

.............

Not the "He really wants to and I enjoy the closeness." Not, "He comes every time and I don't but I want it anyway." But something that meets your standards where absolute symmetry and perfect knowledge to confirm this symmetry exists.

Meanwhile those of us who think that standards of consent must allow for heterosex in order to be meaningful will be using workable assumptions in evaluating whether the consent which IS possible can exist between adults and children.

To debate consent, you must first admit consent.
