Abcde Santos, a lovely young girl with autism (and with parents who have an odd idea of how to name little girls), was turned away by an unauthorized santa contractor at her local mall because she had her service dog with her.

Now, you may have seen numerous "santas" at malls, and of course it is an open secret that they are not me. Even santa can't be in every mall at once, so most of these are contract employees acting on my behalf to bring Christmas joys to girls and boys (but mostly girls) around the world. Unfortunately, some employers bypass the official licensing process and hire santas on their own, which is what happened in this case. The result is illustrative of why they should not bypass the proper channels.

This case is heartbreaking because Abcde is on my "extra nice" list. In fact, she had waited patiently in line to ask what I wanted for Christmas. Why, Abcde, don't you know? All I want for Christmas, is you.
