Classic example of an anti-choicer reading what they want to read, rather than what is actually made clear in the reports. Of course, acknowledging that would go against their belief-oriented contention that almost no one under 18 could possibly have any real sexual/romantic interest in an adult, and at best would simply find such activity tolerable (i.e., "OK") if that's what it took to keep the adult in their life as a mentor or father figure (or whatever), which is why they reportedly wouldn't object to legal prohibitions on the sexual activity. Granted, Ethan can say that pro-choicers are "reading into" the reports based on what we "want" to see too. However, based on the testimonial you excerpted, Entelechy, and other such testimonials in the report, I would honestly like to see which side a truly objective and critical thinker from outside the community - you know, like Richard Green - would discern those words. Sandfort was another such objective thinker, and he hardly had any inclination towards a pro-choice bias; instead, he went to the best possible source of that information that he could. |
