"I cases of news reports on transgressive sexual activity, I know that the information reported could be incorrect, but I won't assume so."
A curious thing - people tend to believe what they read in the news, and just presume that it is happenstance that every time they read an account of something they witnessed themselves that the reporter got everything wrong. But it keeps on happening, even with innocuous stories. In stories involving children and sex, we have found it is prudent to be far more skeptical of news reports. Generally speaking, those of us who have been following events for years disbelieve all accounts of child sexual abuse unless the child themself makes the claim or there is substantial physical evidence. False reporting is not the exception, but the norm - and in this case, it begins with the legal system that intentionally portrays innocent and playful nurturing behavior as a violent crime against nature. |
