Those of us who have a natural sense of paranoia think of all these things ourselves without even reading about it. Perhaps it is no so healthy sometimes. But I do have a habit of judging others' posts, and I've often cringed at some of the information people reveal about themselves. For myself, I try to be as honest as possible without giving away anything which could limit my location too much. I won't give my exact age, names, specific landmarks near my location, what time of day I am posting, the exact work I do, my ISP, and most importantly, I will never discuss an act which incriminates me as having commited a crime in the eyes of the law. If or when such an act occurred, none of you would hear about it. This is difficult, and I find it more difficult to continue such discretion as I become more comfortable with this place. But we need to realise there are lurkers who read every message, and not in agreement with us. I would bet a few would rather see us all dead. So please remember this. And it is not necessarily the eyes of a law enforcement officer taking notes about you, but can be someone else associated with a group who passes the info on to their LEA.
