it's true i've got things to tell..
1 ---------------------------------------
so my exgirlfriend turned 15 a couple of weeks ago. on the 20th. i called her a couple of weeks before, and she told me it was on the 21st. bitch. yeah, she wanted to avoid me. for obvious reasons. she has a new boyfriend now. it's kind of wierd. she met him through me. it's kind of a long story. he's a rich kid, though. 14. the rich kid's an acquaintance of daniel, a younger friend of mine.
so what could i do? i had to visit her. but i was only going to stop by. i didn't want to seem desperate. only a while. and i wasn't going alone. so i planned to take ernesto, a close friend. a guy my age. 22. i had introduced them to eachother so my ex could have someone to talk to when i wasn't there. they became close friends, actually. somehow, too close. she would sometimes intentionally cause jeaulousy in me through him. it was wierd.
what can i say about this girl? i gave her everything. every damn thing. everything her own father didn't give her. imagine that. me 21 and she 13. making out. holding hands. going everywhere toghether. taking taxies. talking for hours. coming home late. dining. talking. talking. cuddling. her eyes. her mouth. teeth, lips and tounge. in me.
ernesto couldn't go with me that day, he was busy. so i took daniel. that was that. i stood for the longest ass time at the door, knocking. feeling nervous. feeling like the first time i stood at that door. knocking. with her besides me, waiting for someone to open the door. perspiring. breathing hard. at her house. at her mother and father's house. expecting nothing. expecting everything. not knowing what to expect behind that door. trying to imagine her mom's face. trying to stay focused. trying to see into the future. trying and testing out theories in my head. seeing if my assumptions were correct. if her mom's personality corresponded to her personality the way i had theorized. how would she be? how would they respond to eachother in these circumstances? to the presence of this man in their house? i was sitting on this kind of old sofa in this sort-of-dark living room, the air was full of the shit-like smell of some sort of lawn fertilizer. i was sitting here. this was the house where my little girl grew up. i was being interviewed by her mom. i told her everything she needed to know. what states my parents came from, where i lived, ,what schools i went to, where i used to work. we took an instant liking to eachother. i could not believe my little girl came from the womb of this woman. they didn't look at all like eachother. she might have been stolen from a tourist. maybe her dad was the one with the blue eyes. i didn't know. all i had to do was pass this test. there were no cops inside. i was not under arrest. i had no immediate fear. all i had to do was answer and smile and let time pass. all i had to do was be nice. all i had to do was be myself.
and i saw her. look at her. she was ecstatic. her eyes wandered, but she could not move. she was just as nervous as i was. but she was happy. and that's how i knew i had won the interview. because she already knew her mom was responding favorably to me, to this, to everything. she looked so cute and small sitting next to her mom. so small and so.. just the right size to fit into my arms. my darling, darling girl. and her angelic face. i was falling in love with her all over again right then and there. this, all of this, was all happening due to certain processes set in motion. the conception and development of tcp-ip. her father leaving them. latichat.com. msn messenger. my laptop. my job at the cybercafé. stuff. six-plus months of straight conversation. daily emails. construction. focus. development. talk. conversation. trust. getting to know eachother. fights. arguments. passion. sex. jokes. political rants. homework. six months of a 13-year old mind. six months of heaven. six months of sorrow. six months of joy. six months of blind love. six months of not even caring if she was fat or/and ugly. and now i was here.
we walked out of the house and.. we were accepted. we were 'legal'. she, her mom, had allowed our love. and we were legally allowed to congregate, talk, and caress. me and her. we kissed in the mouth. and hugged. hard. for a long time. i couldn't believe it. i still can't believe how it happened.
now i was knocking on that door again. she was happy to see me, her mom. i was very much glad to see her too. right off the bat i knew she wasn't home. she wasn't gonna be home even if she was. that was quite alright. it was just enough to leave the gift. a home-burnt cd. 'los prisioneros'. the best punk band in the world. in any language. it was one of her favorite bands. this cd had wav'd mp3s of rare singles.
i so much wanted to hug her mom. in the ened i always had deep respect for her. her mom. after everything she'd done. i asked her how she was doing. i asked her how she was doing with her new boyfriend. i asked her if she was alright. i asked her how well she was doing in school. i told her i hadn't had a real chance to talk to her. that i hope she was doing real well. i always took pride in being more considerate and attentive than her own father. and then i asked the mom how she herself was doing.
it all ended very well. very fast. i said what you have to say to end a conversation, to end a meeting. may you have a nice one, until then. then i said 'bye'. turned around. and left. with daniel. we walked through where me and she stopped and are eternally embracing. after having kissed in the mouth, for having been legally validated. the scent of her warm hair still on my chin.
2 ---------------------------------------
the meeting was pretty boring. attention was being monopolized by one of the members trying to bleed his lack of selfconfidence by impressing the new girls. the yuppie guy still hadn't worked some fairly easy technical details, so the hosting wasn't up yet. perfect.
i saw her sit down. this woman. striking woman. i recognized her from my past. she was 15 and i was 20. she had problems at home. we went out a couple of times. i made advances. she said i was too quick. i never saw her again.
we looked at eachother for a while. yes. "are you?" - "yes".. i went and sat over.. she wasn't waiting for anyone. she was looking for old dudes. this was the girl who dated a 32 year old when she was 12. she's 18 now. we got out of the cafeteria/store thing and walked around. and talked. gerontophile. we talked about my korephilia. we talked about her necrophilia. i talked about my ex. we talked about her parents. i talked about my sincere desire to adopt.
two days later it was this thing about adoption that made her fall for me. we go around the city gawking at little girls and searching for old men. we made out. she has never had physical contact with her 'boyfriends'. all teachers. i taught her how to kiss. she's 18 but she looks more like 34. believe me, she looks old. it was bitter. 14 to 34 is a big difference. it felt a little odd. it no longer feels that way. we've had two dates already. hanging out at bars where old dudes hang out. i've been 'coaching' her on how to do it. she can still be very shy. but it wasn't that hard at all. i felt in the way, so left for the magazines outside. 20 minutes later she came looking for me. she says i better adopt. she is a true fan of korephiles. likes all the films we like. lawn dogs, lolita, taxi driver. she wants to be the girl. wants her daddy. this is what happens to gerontophiles. they date older guys. grandpas. they like them.
