a street of 12 families faced eviction last night because their children allegedly make too much noise while playing outside.

the families were told by a housing association they are breaching tenancy agreements concerning anti-social noise.

mum-of-four lydia lee, 28, who lives on the street in leyland, lancashire, said :

"the children are completely placid.

"we're completely taken aback.

"we've no idea who complained."

eight local playgrounds have closed.

the association, new progress housing, refused to comment.
