There is even a ready explanation for the 0.100 correlation between the other forms of abuse and sexual 'abuse' that they wouldn't like to hear. If a child is physically or verbally abused by the adults with absolute control over her life, she is likely to seek out someone who treats her with respect, and that person (as we know here on this board) has a higher chance of being a pedophile, who would then 'commit sexual abuse' in the eyes of society, while doing his damnedest to protect her from the real abuse she suffers.
