Oh, this brings back memories. I used to live very near a place that included, among other things, a public skating rink. And I had reason to be there nearly every day.

Unfortunately, this was at a point in my past where spotting a lovely LG and noticing my attraction would trigger a flood of self-loathing and despair, so passing it was somewhat hellish. I suspect that now, when I have admitted my GL to myself and accepted it to the present degree, I would let myself enjoy the moments.
