Maybe a compromise is the best way

Hi AP,
Good advice - but maybe we should settle for a halfway point. I could tell her that even though I love her loads it might be better if we cooled off a bit, maybe for a few months until the parents are satisfied that everything is in order. The we could maybe get together again but without the letters and out of scouts contact.
Or maybe we could continue a lot more carefully. As Monday gets further into the past I'm getting more and more tempted to say "screw the parents" and carry on seeing her anyway. The risks would be high but if we're careful the risk of being discovered would be low.
Maybe asking what she wants would be a good idea too. Though who knows if we'll be able to talk again? And I wouldn't want her to feel guilty if her choice resulted in trouble. I just don't know. Only next week will tell.
