Yes, I wouldn't call it OVERLY tolerant, though. I'd call it PROPERLY tolerant. The most recent was a little girl of about 4 (I'll call her Amy). She'd come to my house on overnight visits. Her mom was happy to let her sleep with me (I said SLEEP!). I tried to stay awake all night while she slept, just to make the most of her wonderful closeness -- I'd hold her hand, kiss her fingers, kiss her cheek, etc.

Ususally, before bed, Amy would ask to take a bath. We'd always ask mom, and mom always said "yes" surprisingly eagerly. So I'd have the chore of bathing Amy. I would, of course, leave it totally up to Amy how involved I'd be. Once Amy said "I'll wash myself", and I simply enjoyed watching her. Another time she said "I'll wash the front, you do the back". But the point is, her mom seemed surprisingly eager to have me do this chore. Or to have me put her pj's on her, etc.

I guess mom was just glad to have someone take over for a change. Look, you will occasionally come across someone who's not nuts. It happens. Rarely.
